THE PEOPLE OF MANGANGO DESERVE BETTER THAN THE VIOLENCE AND ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT OF HICHILEMA AND UPND; THEY NEED PF DRIVEN INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

The development
of roads such as Kasempa-Kaoma, Livingstone-Kazungula, Mazabuka-Kafue, and
Katunda-Lukulu-Watopa Road are of high economic significance not only because
they bring development, but also because they encourage regional integration
-which is a key policy of the Patriotic Front (PF) Government.
That is the
reason why the PF government and the majority of right thinking Zambian
citizens are appalled by UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema’s call to halt Chinese
backed road construction and Infrastructure development in these areas.
It appears that
Mr Hichilema wants to perpetuate and feed on the distortion that fellow Zambian
citizens in certain parts of the country are being neglected and discriminated
against.
This explains
why the UPND leader wrote to the Chinese with the twisted intention of
persuading them to halt the construction of roads in these areas that include
Mangango Constituency.
They deserve the
infrastructure development that the PF administration has lined up for them.
They are as
equal citizens as every Zambian elsewhere, and they have a right to enjoy the
fruit of their tax.
The people of
Mangango deserve roads and infrastructure development that UPND are trying to
thwart.
A vote PF
Candidate Mr Godwin Putu is a vote for roads and other infrastructure
development whereas a vote for UPND is a vote for Retrogression, Violence
Misery.
It is also in
this vein that we denounce the refusal by UPND to sign any peace agreement for
the Mangango Constituency by election.
This just goes
to confirm their propensity for violence as they recently demonstrated on court
premises.
The UPND know
that PF candidate Mr Putu is the strongest contender in the upcoming
by-election no wonder they have hatched schemes not only to use their usual
violence, but to discredit him as well.
If PF Candidate
Mr Godwin Mputu wasn't the strongest candidate, why did the UPND approach him
to stand on their ticket?
It is typical
UPND bitterness and sour grapes to try to discredit those that reject them and
that is the s the” sin” the most popular candidate standing on the PF ticket
committed.
The people of
Mangango don’t need the violence and selfishness of UPND, and Hichilema to
stand in the way of roads and infrastructure development in their constituency.
They deserve
better; they deserve a PF Member of Parliament and PF driven infrastructure
development.
We also wish to
react to UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema's statement on Zambia National Broadcasting
Corporation (ZNBC).
ZNBC did NOT
apply for a merger. ZNBC applied for approval to create a special-purpose
vehicle to implement digital migration and not a MERGER
ZNBC has done
this in the past when they created GO-TV with Multichoice.
It's mischievous
for the Competition Commission to have used the word MERGER.
ZNBC was created
by an Act of Parliament no sale or merger can occur without approval from
Cabinet and Parliament.
It should be
noted that both ZNBC and Competition Commission have since clarified.
But it's strange
other opposition leaders such as Hakainde Hichilema are issuing statements
based on a statement that has since been repudiated by the issuer, in this case
the Competition commission.
